Your painting a picture with a detail of rocks or hair or something that has texture. That moment when you get into trouble, that moment when you gasp out load, what have I done?! You may tell yourself I’m wasting my time, I’m fooling myself, I don’t have enough training, I didn’t get the right training. Remind yourself, I know how to do this, I’ve done it before, I’ve got this. Your hands and your brain are friends. You can do this with your own two hands.
It will be hard to let go of this little dude he will be traveling back to his family soon.
We collect photos at thrift stores and antique stores, but when I found this lot I knew they were more important than the usual lot. I started a little 3×5 painting of the one little charmer.
i found going thru the rest that there was a name. I found the same name on FB and reached out to them. It was a while, but I heard back. She would like the photos, I’ll see if I can find out more when she gets them back in her hand.
So little dude is almost ready and he is going on a trip.
Playing with pink today. I was driving around in sunny southern California a couple of years ago. I happened to notice a grey pot on a porch, with the palest pink blooms planted in it. That image has stayed with me all of this time. I’m sure it’s in one of my many notebooks as a note to explore, but it bubbled up to the surface today.
